Heather Kerrigan
Heather started her career in journalism at Governing magazine, reporting on state and local politics and policy, with a specific focus on public workforce, environment, health care, education, and technology issues. Prior to co-founding River Horse Communications, Heather offered freelance editorial services to a variety of outlets, including serving as volume editor and lead author for SAGE Publications’ Historic Documents series and editor-in-chief of The Kanter Journal. Heather also blogs for two government-focused publications, GovLoop and NEOGOV, covering issues of importance to federal employees. Heather is the author of the book Retire Rich With Your 401(k) Plan. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from The George Washington University. Heather is a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors and ACES: The Society for Editing.

Linda Grimm
Linda has a background in public affairs and strategic communications, having managed integrated communications programs and public affairs campaigns for clients in the entertainment, technology, and financial services industries. Prior to co-founding River Horse Communications, Linda was a vice president of a leading public affairs agency, where she specialized in message and materials development as well as internal communications. She has extensive experience writing and editing materials such as testimony, reports, newsletters, op-eds, press releases, and speeches. Linda has also been a contributing writer for annual editions of SAGE Publications’ Historic Documents for the past eight years and served as the senior associate editor of The Kanter Journal. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political communication from The George Washington University.
